♥ (asked if she would ever do a TV show again) They’ll have to hit me over the head, because it’s not conducive to a person like me who likes to move around a lot and not have any repetition in my life. I even had hypnosis in the beginning to learn how to handle going to the same set, day after day - and it helped. Having said that, I know the last episode of this show (charmed) will be incredibly emotional for all of us because I see them more than my own family.
♥ (on charmed): When Billy Zane was on the series, that was great.
♥ Growing up, I always wanted to be a stylish Italian woman.
♥ I realized a career is built as much on what you don't do as what you do do.
♥ I don't have great luck. I'm used to people dying and going away. I'm not used to it exactly - but I expect it. Like, whenever people go off on a trip, I save their phone messages because I think they might die.
♥ But there's definitely a bit of Mae West in me. I think self-amusement is possibly the most important thing one has.
♥ Whatever's going to be is what's going to be.
♥ I feel people have tried to stamp out what is special about me. Why should I downplay myself to make someone else more comfortable?
♥ (on Charmed): We continue to get treated like the ugly stepchild of the network. Anyway, I'm proud of what we accomplished.
♥ I possibly suffer from over-empathy. If one person starts crying, I'll cry. If one person has no money, I'll give them mine. If I had a bicycle growing up, I always felt incredibly guilty when i saw someone sitting at the bus stop.
♥ (joking): I've always admitted it: I'm a man with really nice breasts -- I'm so guilty of doing every single male thing. Not calling, not showing up, leaving at four in the morning.
♥ I have a baby yellow BMW stick shift. When I drive, I literally have a script propped up on the steering wheel while trying to do a U-turn and put on lipstick. I've been known to run into parked cars. But I always leave a note saying I'm sorry -- I just don't leave any information.
♥ I still say I can do whatever I want as long as I'm not hurting anybody else. I don't understand why more people aren't like that.
♥ I like Garbage a bit. I have to say I think Hole is really awful, and I really don't understand how anyone could think otherwise. (Courtney Love) must terrify the reviewers, because they're all afraid to give her a bad review, and there's no way people can think that album (Celebrity Skin) is good. No way.
♥ A wild child, I'm definitely not. I'm like a grandma in a young person's body. I always have been. When I was nine, I was worried about incontinence. I used to read medical journals and was convinced I had every single disease that struck old people. I think that's why I feel younger as I've got older; I'm afraid to let go of my age-related illnesses.
♥ (on her reputation): I'm not the slut I'm sometimes made out to be by the evil press. Though I'm sure I have an ex-boyfriend who would disagree. I've been called 'Cruella'
♥ I'm a bit of a dog person, after being called one I decided just to embrace it and make a whole family.
♥ You know how often guys say, 'You smell just like a rose?'. To which I say, 'You look just like a dipsh!t'.
♥ People thought I was wild because of who I was with (Manson). In reality I've been home baking cupcakes.
♥ I don't believe in rules. I would be happy to be climbing a pyramid when I'm 70. And I know I will be.
♥ People get used to a diet of beige, and they can't handle it when something shocking pink comes along.
♥ It's my job to spread deviance to the American youth.
♥ You have to work to carve out your own little corner, and I'm certainly smacking my head against the wall trying to make a dent. I just hope I don't get brain-damaged before I get there.
♥ I know I am kind and I have fun and if I sat there and worried about what everybody else thought of me my brain would be very crowded.
♥ I always thought I was more satanic than Manson. (Discussing the sinister reputation of her ex-fiancé Marilyn Manson).
♥ I'm a pussycat unless you do something to one of my friends. Then I'll think of unique ways to get back at you. I'm more creative than your average bear.
♥ I want to live in Paris. I want to learn to ice-skate and to box. I want to get a degree in Egyptology. I would like to not have to say 'Like, oh my God!' in any movies. I would like to have a day go by without people screaming various obscenities about body parts. I'd like to still have Bug and Fester, my Boston terriers. I think I'd like to be with my boyfriend, except (laughs) I'm pretty commitment-shy. I'd like to please my father, who used to be in the Children of God, and do at least one more 'porno' film -- which is what he called The Doom Generation. I'd like to start some sort of counseling program for girls -- when I was that age I was always told that I was gonna burn in hell. I would like to lose the guilt I have for compulsive spending. I would like to stop being addicted to diet hot chocolate.
♥ I don't really care how people view me particularly. It's not really any of my business because everyone is going to have their own opinion and if I started thinking about what everyone else thought of me, I'd go crazy.
♥ (at the Legally Blonde 2 premiere): I'm a fan of pink, I'm a fan of high-heeled shoes and I'm a fan of strange-looking dogs, so this hits all the notes for me.
♥ When I lived in Europe, I was usually pretty exalted for the way I looked. I had minions who would run and get me candy, but when I moved to Oregon and entered my Goth phase with spiky black hair, kids threw things at me.
♥ I think if I had lived back in Salem, I would have been burned at the stake.
♥ (on the Children of God cult): I don't remember so much their ideology, but I don't think they were even very clear on that. Mostly, I think it's funny, but I have a perverse sense of humor. Anyway, you don't know it's not the white picket fence until someone points it out. Actually, for me it was kind of idyllic.
♥ Life gets better when you embrace your geekiness.
♥ I think I ran so hard and so fast, in a lot of ways, from my life and I kind of took a fall. It was like - what do they call it? - Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
♥ I thought that Charmed was a funny part to play, but I'm dying to do other things now, which is why I'm on a starvation diet right now.
♥ I am going to be pretty kick a** by the time I'm thirty, and I can't wait!!
♥ I was supposed to be the belle of the ball, but I only lasted a day there and then, on January 29, my best friend committed suicide.
♥ I was up watching Meet Joe Black at four in the morning. I was hoping Brad Pitt would die, and he was still alive at seven forty in the morning! I actually felt sorry for once, for critics.
♥ I've got calls saying I was too strong an actress for a particular part and that I would make the other actors seem weak.
♥ I've seen many actors go awry by making the wrong choices early on.
♥ It wasn't that I was shy to go out with Marilyn, I just didn't want people with preconceived notions to assume anything about why we were together. I was pretty careful for a while.
♥ There have been a lot of murders and suicides in my family; it's like the primary cause of death. I wonder if there's a certain energy that attracts that.
♥ To me, it's obvious that the better the actors involved in the movie, the more likely the film itself will rise to the occasion.
♥ The stereotypical woman is always getting a guy to call her- like in those retarded magazines: "100 WAYS TO MAKE HIM LOVE YOU NOW". F*** that. When I'm done with someone, I'm done.
♥ (on what she was like in high school): My look was Punk-goth-Mod. I'd ride on people's Vespas listening to Bauhaus and I'd be piercing my nose in the bathroom. I had chopped-off black hair and wore Revlon 'Love That Red' lipstick. Every guy at school came up to me and said: 'You're the ugliest thing I've ever seen'.
♥ Hollywood is all about making an entrance. I don't want to be a walking advertisement for anyone than myself.
